News: December 6th, 2003:

This was our 2nd time at TIMES. Once again it was a pretty decent crowd. It seemed as though the crowd was completely different from the last time we were there. Didn't really see many familiar faces from before except some of the staff. It's always good to play for new people though. There were also several people that made the trek down from Madison for the show, Thanks!

Brian from Archibald Stage Lighting did lights.

Thanks to Scott, Jeff, Brannon, Erica, Melissa, Daniel, Chauncey and the rest of the staff at TIMES for treating us great.

We will be taking the rest of December and January off to hit the studio and work on doing some recording of our own stuff. It's great to FINALLY get going on this project!

Check out the schedule page, there are several gigs lined up through springtime with more to come. Keep checking the website for more updates on what's going on with LUBE. See ya soon!

News: November 28th, 2003:

Even though Badger Bowl did their remodeling over the summer it seems as though each time we come back they have added something new. This time we noticed that they now have brand new chairs that seem to match the motif that is going on with the new look. At any rate, the place keeps getting better all the time.

Steve Topel from Heartbreaker did the lighting. The lights looked great! Thanks Steve! There were also a few Birthdays going on, including Barb, who had a number of people from her work come out to celebrate with her.

Steve (our Steve), had relatives in from California to see the show. They had a good time, hopefully we'll see them again.

Well, once again there were many musicians in the crowd including: Steve, Jenny & Doug from Heartbreaker. Doug took the mic to sing Hate Everything about you toward the end of the night to the rousing approval of the crowd. Also in attendance were Bobby and Bones from BoB Rocks, Dave Cobb from Cobzweb, Rich and Marty from Scratchin', Rob from Red Hot Recall, Jeff Powers, Brent King and Mike Flaherty.

It's always great to get support from fellow musicians. We really appreciate it! Everyone please go out and support these bands as well as other Live music!

News: November 26th, 2003:

This was a Pre-Thanksgiving show at Speedway, the beginning of the Holiday season. People seemed to be in good spirits, most likely since they get to cram a bunch of food down their pie hole the next day. Mike Massey and Mike Ripp from legendary Madison bands Chaser and Boys in White did an opening set with a mix of originals and covers that seemed to set the mood for the rest of the night.

Frank and Trent Fridono of BoB Rocks did our lights once again.

We debuted 3 new songs to the set list that people seemed to like:

  • Saturday Night - Nickelback/Kid Rock version
  • Some Kind of Wonderful - Our own Tuned Down Crunched Up version
  • Hungry Like The Wolf - Duran Duran
  • Lotsa musicians in the house: In addition to Mike Massey and Mike Ripp, Frank, Trent & Bones from BoB Rocks, Josh from Cherry Pie (Thanks for taking pictures), Bill, Pete & Robb from Cathouse, Von from Chewy, and Scott Schroedl from Heartbreaker. It seemed like a drummers convention as we had 5 in attendance.

Anyway, it looks as though Speedway will remain open. This was supposed to be our last show there but it doesn't seem like it will close anytime soon. I guess the bank that was buying the property bailed out of the deal, which is great for Live Music in Madison.

    News: November 8th, 2003:

This was our first time at TIMES, Janesville's newest club. As a matter of fact we were only the second band to ever play at TIMES. This place has been several different things over the years, most recently it was a club called the Pinnacle. Well, Times have changed, and so has the building. New ownership has taken over and a LOT of work has gone into the place to clean up and revitalize the place and the results are obvious.

This is an EXTREMELY COOL Club! The layout is very nice, and also very spacious. It's unique in the fact that it is basically 3 bars in one. There is a front bar that you can just hang out in, a very large game room in the middle with a bunch of pool tables and dartboards. The crown jewel in this place though is the band room! The band room is a very large, wide-open room with a nice big stage with great sightlines. It also has a very sizeable bar so you don't have to run to the other bars for drinks. The capacity of the band room itself is about 550. The entire club at capacity is probably around 800.

Brian from Archibald Stage Lighting did our lights, and as always did a great job. His lighting really adds to the Rock Show atmosphere. The Road Crew consisting of Dan, Chad and Jenny did an outstanding job as well.

The night started off with a lunar eclipse while we were setting up. I don't know if it had anything to do with it but there was a lot of wild dancing going on, including some pretty interesting pole dancing with the support poles on the dance floor in front of the stage. The crowd was pretty jacked up and ready to party. In between sets DJ RIBO and friends were keeping the dance floor moving while spinning the hot House/Techno/Trance/Hip Hop.

We had a great time and would like to thank the Staff at TIMES for having us and treating us great. Particularly we would like to thank Scott, Brannon, Jeff, Melissa, Nichole, Erica, Eric and the rest of the staff that we came in contact with that made our night great. Also, thanks to all the great people we met there. We are looking forward to coming back as much as possible. As a matter of fact, we will be back at TIMES on Saturday December 6th. Everyone needs to get out and check out TIMES and December 6th would be a perfect time. Hopefully we'll see YOU out there!

    News: November 1st, 2003:

The last time we played at this joint it was called Wedges, now it's called the Wildlife Preserve. They didn't change anything except the name. Although, you wouldn't know it since the sign still says Wedges on it. The staff was very accommodating to us, particularly the manager Matt.

Frank and Trent Fridono made the trek down to do lights for us (actually Trent did all the work).

Talked to a lot of cool people, Rocked out, drove home in driving rain. Please excuse me for not remembering much of the details from this weekend as this is being written a week later. I guess my old age is starting to catch up with me.

Looking forward to making it back to Wildlife Preserve in early 2004!

    News: October 31st, 2003:

This year Halloween fell on a Friday so of course there were parties all over the place. Kitt's Korner was the destination for LUBE on this evening. We all dressed up (even Nick). Andy wore a Bunny suit like Ralphie in the epic A Christmas story. Steve was a Skull Head Guy, Nick was a gynecologist, and Buzz was Ozzy. Frank Fridono dressed as a light guy and ran lights.

There were a lot of costumes on display including the entire staff of a psych ward, a few kitty cats, a French maid, a boxer, a few pimps, gangsters, witches, Dracula, and much more.

Musicians in the crowd included: Frank, Bones, & Bobby from Bob Rocks, Jeff from C.O.E., Von from Chewy, and Brian from Politix.

    News: October 27th, 2003:

Lube MP3s are now available! Check them out on the Songs page, look for [MP3]

    News: October 4th, 2003:

For those of you that were under the impression that Speedway is closed you are wrong. THEY ARE OPEN!!! As a matter of fact, it seems like they may be open for a while yet. If you weren't aware, the property that Speedway sits on was apparently sold months ago. A frickin' Bank of all things is supposed to be built on that site. Like we need another bank in the area. Anyway, this was our second to last show there. It's kind of sad because we kind of cut our teeth at this place and Paul and his entire staff have treated us EXTREMELY well over the last couple years. Paul has helped us out in a few situations and saved our Asses when we needed to do some last minute change of venues. We will really Miss this place!

Once again Brian and Tony from Archibald stage lighting did the lights. Everything again was top notch.

There were a lot of familiar faces in the crowd as well as a number of LUBE virgins. There was a lot of wild dancing and some pretty interesting side attractions as well. Like... Uh... I won't go there.

We would like to thank a number of our musical brethrens for coming out. Like Frank (thanks for the tip on the limiter Frank!), Bones, and Bobby from BoB Rocks. Jon from Junkmale, Jeff from C.O.E., Dave, Pete, Bill, and Robb from Cathouse, and Alex from the Rock Pilots.

Our last show at Speedway is Wednesday November 26th, Thanksgiving Eve. There will be NO WORK the next day so you don't have any excuses to not come out and help us say goodbye to one of our favorite places to play.

Our next show is Halloween, Friday October 31st at Kitt's Korner. I'm sure there will be one of those wild & wacky costume contests for fabulous prizes. For those of you down in the Janesville area we will be doing a Halloween show on Saturday November 1st at The Wildlife Preserve (formerly Wedges). That weekend will also be our 4th anniversary as a band so come out and celebrate with us.

    News: October 3rd, 2003:

It was our second time back at Badger Bowl since they remodeled. This time everything was complete and looking great. This was also our first show out with the new P.A. system. After a few minor bugs in the first set, everything sounded excellent the rest of the night. A big thanks goes out to Jeff Powers for helping to solve the problem. We would also like to thank Chad Gengelbach for helping with everything as well.

Archibald Stage Lighting did lights. The lights looked fantastic and added a lot to the entire show. Thank you to Brian and Tony Archibald.

Musicians in the crowd included: Josh Becker from Cherry Pie, Steve Barfnecht from Pink Houses, Rick from Shake of the Day, Jeff & Denise from C.O.E., and Rob from Hot Rock Recall. We would also like to thank Lisa for her continued support of the band.

    News: August 31st, 2003:

It was the 3rd annual "After Taste Of Madison Party" at Club Raven, which capped off a fun filled weekend. There were four bands on the bill with us going on first. We went on earlier than usual with an 8:30 start time. Sorry to those of you that got there when we were already done.

Spineshank, A national band from Los Angeles who were added to the bill only a few days prior to the show went on after us. They were just coming off a tour with Powerman 5000 and Adema and were heading out to the East Coast for a mini tour before heading over to Europe. So they set up a few shows on their way out east. They Kicked Ass and were very entertaining both on and off stage. The whole band and their crew were very cool and down to earth. They also had a pretty cool tour bus.

Up next was The Lords Of The New Wave, a new band from the area featuring Club Raven owner Dan Witt on Lead Vocals. The name fit the band as they played New Wave 80's Hits. They were very fun and we look forward to possibly doing some shows with them in the future.

Midwest Kings from Tulsa, Oklahoma finished off the night with a great set of music off their brand new CD. They have a very infectious sound that had everyone into it until the end.

Spine seemed to be the theme of the night. Not only was Spineshank in the house. But, in what has become tradition the last 3 years for the "After Taste Party", members of the band Caroline's Spine came out to party after their performance on the square at the Taste of Madison. We have always admired Caroline's Spine not only for their music but for the way they take time to hang out and get to know their fans. As a matter of fact, their song Sullivan was in the first batch of songs we learned when we first started the band. Caroline's Spine will be taking time off to pursue other side projects. Jimmy Newquist is releasing a solo acoustic CD This month. Jason Gilardi and Scott Jones also have a new project called New Science with a CD release and tour coming this fall.

Our next show is Friday September 26th at Sharpshooters/Rift Nightclub in Portage. This is a really cool, large venue with a huge stage. Should be a blast so get your ass out there!

    News: August 29th, 2003:

This was the first full weekend of Live Music at Badger Bowl since they remodeled. There were still a number of things to be done until the remodeling is totally complete but what a difference it made. It's not any bigger, but it's much more wide open and brighter than before. The sightlines to the stage are MUCH better throughout the entire bar. It's a definite improvement!

Being a Holiday weekend, coupled with the fact that there were a lot of outdoor festivities going on in the area we figured it wouldn't be a very large crowd. It wasn't the usual crowd but it wasn't too bad considering the fact that there was a lot going on. Never the less, it was an honor being one of the first bands to play in the Sparkly, "New Look" Badger Bowl.

Sound and Lights were done by Steve and Ron from the Area Men.

Musicians in the crowd included: Bobby and Frank from BoB Rocks, Jeff from SuperTuesday, Jeff and Denise from C.O.E, Jason and the guys from Mighty Electric Band, Steve from Midlife Crisis, Wade Otis, Charles Thomas from Chewy, and Travis Larson from The Classics. Charles and Travis helped out with vocals on a couple songs.

We also added a couple songs to the set list that we of course put our own Rockin' twist to:

  • Disco Inferno - Tramps
  • Lido Shuffle - Boz Scaggs

  • News: August 2nd, 2003:

This year Bluffest was scaled back from three days to only one day. But what a day it was! Things started getting going around 1 pm as registration began for the custom motorcycle contest which gave out awards in several categories including best: Full Custom, Harley Custom, Touring Custom, Open Class, Sport Bike, and Paint Job. There were many sharp looking bikes on display.

This year Kitt had a Huge tent set up on the outfield with a nice BIG stage for the bands with a lot of room to run around on! On the other end was a stage for both the VENUS SWIMWEAR competition and Wet T-shirt contest. So this kept things rolling pretty much non-stop. Intellasound did sound and Lights. The sound was excellent and the lights were spectacular once it got dark.

The first band LEVEL out of Chicago started at around 2:15 to a pretty small crowd and played for about an hour. For the people that did didn't get there to see LEVEL they missed out. These guys are great! They played a mix of covers and originals. Their originals were very good. They are definitely a band to keep an eye on.

We played next, playing from 3:30 - 4:30. The crowd slowly filtered in and wasn't too bad by the end of the set being that it was still early in the day by festival standards. We weren't done for the day, we still had to play inside of Kitt's once the outdoor festivities were done at midnight. Consider it the longest band break in history (7 1/2 hours).

Right after us was the first round of the VENUS SWIMWEAR Finals. There were a lot of very attractive women involved. Mel McKenzie from Q106 was the MC.

Things kept rolling as BOB ROCKS took the stage. One thing about BOB ROCKS is that it's always like a big party when they play. They continuously bring people on stage to either jam with them, sing back ups, or just dance on stage. Andy, Buzz, and Nick got up on stage to help out on a few songs. BOB ROCKS played 2 sets with the second round of the VENUS SWIMWEAR Competition sandwiched between. After their second set, it was the Final Round for the Swimwear competition where the winner moved on to the national finals in Jacksonville, Florida.

Once the fur was done flying from the swimwear competition the headliner for the evening SuperTuesday took the stage. It's easy to see why they were recently voted Madison's favorite local band as they had the crowd into it from the beginning. They have an excellent sound and stage presence. They played two long sets with the Wet T-Shirt contest during the break.

The Wet-Shirt contest hmm, how to describe it. Well I can think of one thing "SKIN"! Actually, there are two things but I won't go there (rim shot). I guess for a $500 first prize these ladies were willing to do just about anything for the prize.

After SuperTuesday was done outside we immediately started our set inside Kitt's. Now this a little different than our day set in the fact that from the start the place was wall-to-wall packed. There was a lot of "electricity" in the room, which rubbed off on us. So any tiredness we had at the beginning went away immediately. We played about an hour and gave way to BOB ROCKS to take it to bar time.

One thing we would like to mention is that we unveiled our brand new LUBE T-Shirts and LUBE Can Coozies at this show. A big thanks goes out to Heather from Aropa Designs in Whitewater for putting the rush on the shirts. We ended up selling a bunch of T-Shirts. Cummings Enterprises of Madison did the can coozies. If you're interested in either a shirt or coozie see us at a show or email us using the contact page.

Big thanks to Kitt and all the sponsors that put this on. Also, all the bands: LEVEL, BOB ROCKS, and SuperTuesday. It was a blast! Can't wait till next year.

    News: August 1st, 2003:

This was a four band bill featuring the Headliner ENDO, a National Act with Columbia Records from Miami. They are currently out on the Ozzfest Tour and had the night off before playing the early slot at Alpine Valley the next morning. We had a chance to hang out with them a little bit and heard some stories from the road that were pretty interesting. They were all really cool and down to earth. Their sound guy even offered an invitation to go to Ozzfest the next day, but of course we had to play at Bluffest.

We kicked things off and played about 50 minutes or so. Then Livid took the stage and did a set. Livid is a band from Madison that has only been together since March. Turns out, their drummer Big John and Buzz go way back. They played a Heavy, Kick Ass set and sounded great. Livid will be playing The Taste of Madison this year at the WJJO stage so check them out.

The Headliner ENDO was next and you could definitely see why these guys are on the Ozzfest tour. They tore it up! Very Heavy with a Lot of LOW END and great stage presence. Strictly Commercial, a brand new band finished the night off.

When we left ENDO was still hanging out and partying despite the fact that they had to hit the stage at Ozzfest the next morning at 9:20. Now that's Rock-N-Roll!

    News: July 25th, 2003:

This was a Double Bill Show with Junkmale originally scheduled to be at Badger Bowl. However, we were informed about two weeks preceding the show that Badger Bowl would be closed for remodeling on the date of our show. Fortunately for us we were able to move the show to Club Raven near Edgerton thanks to the owner of Club Raven, Dan Witt.

This was a unique show in the fact that we alternated sets throughout the night. Junkmale went first, we followed immediately, then Junkmale again, and then we finished the night. Since Club Raven has a large stage, both bands were able to set up all of our equipment including both drum sets, which made the transitions between sets almost instantaneous. So it was pretty much Non Stop Rock all night long.

Some of the highlights of the night were when Club Raven owner Dan sang a couple tunes with Junkmale. Then he came up to sing "Somebody Get Me A Doctor" with us. But for the people that stuck around till the end, they were treated to a Jam to finish out the night featuring all members of both bands at the same time. I guess you could call us LUBEJUNK or JUNKLUBE with all eight members playing at the same time. It was a lot of fun and we may do it again sometime doing more than just two songs.

Dave & Fish did sound, and Jackie did a marvelous job on the lights. Jeff, Denise, & Tim (& wife) from COE stopped out for a while. Thanks to Dan (for making this show happen), Ron, Jessica, and the rest of the staff at Club Raven, as well as the other cool people that we met.

Actually we will be back at Club Raven again next Friday August 1st to do a show that we scheduled a few months back. We will be playing with Bled. Then, on Saturday August 2nd we will be playing Bluffest 2003 at Kitt's Korner in Pine Bluff. There will be 4 bands playing (SuperTuesday, BOB Rocks, LUBE, & Level), the Venus Swimwear Finals, a Harley Bike Show, and a Wet T-Shirt contest for all you perverts. The Festivities kick off around 1:00 pm. We play outside at 3:30, and then again inside at midnight so it should be a pretty long day for us. For a full schedule of the events and times check out the details on the schedule page.

    News: July 11th, 2003:

After slugging it out and paying our dues for almost 4 years we finally had the opportunity to play a festival as the headliner. When we originally booked this show we assumed that since it was in mid July it would be very hot & humid. Boy were we wrong! It was actually kind of cool out which was nice for us on stage. Earlier while setting up there were periodic rain showers, which kind of sucked but didn't affect us too much since where we were playing was out of the rain. We had a sweet set-up playing in a large open-air pavilion where you could stand outside and still see the stage.

Frank, Elliot, and Trent Fridono from the band BoB Rocks did our sound, with help from Craig. Frank brought his big PA System, which sounds phenomenal. They had things sounding great from the get go. Brian Archibald of Archibald Stage Lighting did the lighting. The lights looked great and added a nice effect to the show.

Notables in the crowd included Kris Krok from WTDY who introduced us, Bobby and Bones from BoB Rocks, Travis from the CLASSICS, Mikey from SHAKE OF THE DAY, Jeff from COE, and Steve from PINK HOUSES. Bobby and Travis helped out on vocals for a few songs and we had a guest tambourine player as well. There were also many regular LUBIES on hand as well.

As you can see from the pictures, things got pretty wild as the night went on. All in all we had a great time. This was a very well organized event and everyone involved was very professional and accommodating. We would LOVE to come back! A big thank you to the Deerfield Fire Department for having us.

Just a reminder that our show that was scheduled for Friday, July 25th at Badger Bowl has been moved to Club Raven in Newville. Badger Bowl will be closed for remodeling. Thankfully, Dan at Club Raven was able to make the show still happen. Once again we will be playing with our good friends Junkmale doing alternating sets. Maybe we'll have one of those All-Star jams at the end of the night where both bands play together at the same time. MMMM, I can already taste the shots.

Also, don't forget about Bluffest 2003 at Kitt's Korner Saturday, August 2nd. This year the band lineup includes: Level, Lube, BoB Rocks, and SuperTuesday. Also scheduled is the Venus Swimwear Finals, a Harley Davidson show, and of course what would a Harley event be without a wet T-Shirt contest. Tickets are on sale now. Check the link to that show on our schedule page for information.

    News: May 31st, 2003:

Back to Club Raven for a show with National Recording artist SLUR, and Bellevue Suite (Milwaukee). We kicked the night off early to a small but appreciative crowd that grew steadily as the set progressed.

Neil, who is the soundman for Population 4 out of Janesville, did our sound. He was assisted by Pop4 guitarist Jason. Neil did a great job and had a really nice mix going. Thanks Neil!

After we played, SLUR took the stage and Kicked Major Ass! Great music, Great stage presence, Great Show! To top it all off, all of the guys in the band and their Road Manager/Soundman Erik were the greatest bunch of guys. No egos whatsoever. You don't see that too often.

Bellevue Suite, a great band from Milwaukee finished the night. They had quite a few people there to see them as well.

We will be taking June off to do some recording. Our next show is the Deerfield Fireman's Festival on Friday July 11th. This is one of the larger summertime Festivals/Beer Tents in the area so it should be a good time. It should also be very hot so make sure you dress accordingly.

    News: May 30th, 2003:

After a couple months playing elsewhere, we returned to Madison to play at the Badger Bowl. It was nice to see some familiar faces in the crowd as well as some fresh faces, which is always a welcome sight.

We debuted 4 new tunes for this show:

  • "Lipstick Maiden" - a new LUBE original
  • "Blue Monday" - Orgy
  • "Runaway" - Bon Jovi
  • "Good Work" - Bodeans
  • Steve Gundlach and Kirk Caryl ran sound and lights. Kirk used to help out back in the early days of LUBE, so it was nice having him back for the night. Be sure to check out Steve G's new band The Area Men at Badger Bowl on Friday June 13th.

Local Musicians in the crowd included: Scott and Page from Heartbreaker, Bobby from BoB Rocks, Steve from Pink Houses, Jeff, Jules, Denise, & Tim of C.O.E., and Wayne from Johnny Law.

Thanks to everyone for coming out!

    News: April 26th, 2003:

Once again we returned to Janesville to play another show with Junkmale. This time however, we played at Wedges, which turned into another outstanding night for us. Also, it's another venue down in Janesville that wants us to return! So be looking for us more down there. We are really beginning to love Janesville. Everyone is so receptive and genuine. Once again the crowd was into it right from the beginning.

We also had several LUBIES make the trip down to take in the festivities including: Lori, Vicki, Heidi, Laurie, Jenny, Gene, Sonya, and a few others. We also spoke with a bunch of people that caught us at Tremors last month that came back to see us again. THANKS!

The ladies were running rampant as you can see by the pictures. There were 4 Bachelorette parties that came in throughout the night so it got pretty wild. Once again we had a Blast! Thanks Junkmale! Thanks Janesville! We'll be back!

Our next show is Friday May 30th at Badger Bowl in Madison. On Saturday May 31st we will be making our return to Club Raven in Newville. Club Raven is only about 10 minutes from Janesville. We would LOVE to see some of our new friends come out.

    News: April 5th, 2003:

On April 5th, 2003 Andy and Tammy were married in Madison! BoB Rocks performed at the reception at the East Side Businessmen's Association and a good time was had by all. There are a couple pictures, check 'em out. Congratulations Andy and Tammy!

    News: March 29th, 2003:

This was our first time at Lodi Bowl and I must say it was a great time. Greg, Barb and the rest of the staff were very accommodating to everyone in the band and crew. Sound was done by Steve Gundlach, with Rosemary on lights. This was Andy's last show as a single guy.

Buzz had a lot of friends and relatives on hand as well as some old friends from school, Jenny and John. Also in attendance was syndicated radio personality Jesse James and his wife Stephanie who stopped out after attending the Bon Jovi show. Jesse did not however grace us with his Vanilla Ice dance moves that he's so famous for but he did show his prowess on the cowbell.

Once again there were a lot of new faces on hand and Sheila and Emily were celebrating their birthdays. Also, thanks to everyone that bought us shots!

There were also numerous musicians on hand including Frank and Bones from BoB Rocks, Dave and Dennis Cobb from Cobzweb, Steve Barfnecht from Pink Houses, Jules, Denise, Jeff and Steve from C.O.E. and Brent King from Drums-N-More.

All in all it was a GREAT time and we are looking forward to making a return to Lodi Bowl very soon! We won't be back in action till the end of April as Andy takes some time off to get hitched to Tammy. CONGRATULATIONS ANDY AND TAMMY!

    News: March 28th, 2003:

Last fall we played a couple shows at Club Raven with a great band out of Janesville called Junkmale. Well, we decided to team up and do a few more shows together, some in Janesville and some in the Madison area. This was the first show in Janesville at a place called TREMORS. The guys in Junkmale told us that this was a great place to play and man were they right. This place KICKS ASS! The crowd was very receptive and ready to party from the get go. A lot of times when you're playing a new place in front of new people you have to kind of feel things out at first. Not here. These people enjoy their partying and are out to have a good time, they were into it from the first power chord.

Fish, the house soundman at Club Raven did sound for us and did a stellar job. Thanks Fish! Kim and the rest of the staff at Tremors were very hospitable and kept us well refreshed on the beverage front. We look forward to getting back to Tremors very soon. We met a lot of really great people and can't wait to get back.

We will be returning to Janesville with Junkmale on April 26th at Wedges. If it's anything like Tremors it should be a Blast! I guess they don't call it Rock County for nothing (sorry, I couldn't resist the cheesy cliche).

    News: March 22nd, 2003:

Lube took some promotional photos this weekend in Madison. Check them out on the Pictures page and let us know which ones you like best using the Contact page. Thanks!

    News: March 21st, 2003:

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Badger Bowl! Once again there were a lot of regulars as well as many new faces in the crowd. Our sound was done by Steve Gundlach with help from Mark on lights, and as always was excellent. They do a great job of making everything sound and look great! THANKS!

Check out the pictures, maybe you're in one.

Among the musicians in the crowd were Scott Schroedl of Heartbreaker, Steve Barfnecht of Pink Houses, Chris Wagner of Restless, Jason Phelps, Rebecca, and Rob of 3 AM, Steve Swadley and Brent King. Speaking of Brent King, we are trying to coerce him into raiding Drums N Moore and bringing out some Congas to come beat on with us for our show at the Lodi Bowl on March 29th.

We would like to wish our newest LUBIES Christine and Shannon the best of luck as they relocate to Phoenix, Arizona to join a convent. We just want to know one thing: Where the Hell have you been the last 3 1/2 years!??!

We found out at this show that we will be playing at this years Fireman's Festival in Deerfield. The date is Friday July 11th 2003 so mark your calendars now! There's nothing like a Hot-N-Sticky summer night under the stars with a couple thousand people tossin' cold brewski's down their pie hole and getting crazy.

Friday March 28th we will be playing at TREMORS in Janesville with Junkmale. We are going on first so we will probably start around 9 pm or so. From what we hear this place Rocks!

On Saturday night March 29th we will be at the LODI BOWL in Lodi. By the way there is NO COVER CHARGE! Rumor has it that the Goo Goo Dolls plan on coming out after opening for Bon Jovi at the Kohl Center to bowl a few frames. We can neither confirm nor deny this rumor, I guess you'll just have to come out and see for yourself.

    News: March 15th, 2003:

Check out the pictures of Nick performing with Mike Massey (formerly of the Madison bands Chaser and Boys In White) at Fyfe's Corner Bistro on the 15th of March.

    News: March 1st, 2003:

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Speedway show. There were a lot of new faces in the crowd which is always great to see. Of course it's always great to see the "usual suspects" that frequent the shows as well. WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT! You know who you are. THANKS!!!!!!!!

Check out the pictures, maybe you're in one.

Among the musicians in the crowd were Frank from BOB Rocks, Jeff and Denise from C.O.E., Rick Ayres from JC Band, and Jason Phelps. It's always nice to get support from your peers. Please check out these bands when you get a chance. It was also Jennifer's 29th Birthday (so she says), and Crystal was spending all of the money that she won at HoChunk earlier in the evening (Thanks for the shot!).

We debuted 4 new tunes, which went over well:

  • "Take It Off" - The Donna's
  • "Rebel Yell" - Billy Idol
  • "Purple Rain" - Prince
  • "One Way To Rock" - Sammy Hagar
  • We also busted out some new gear for this show. Steve - New Drum set (again), Andy - New Mesa Bass Amp, Nick - New Peavey Triple-X Amp. We have also added a Sequencer and a new Fog Machine. Once again Steve Gundlach was our Sound Engineer with help from his brother Dan. Steve always does a stellar job getting a perfect mix to make things sound great.

Sorry, no news that's any older than this.
