Here is the latest episode of LUBEtube. In this Episode we take a closer look into the UFO sightings in Belleville reported in 1987, Play a shows at Sugar River Lanes and Club Tavern, as well as "Cooking with Rob". Unfortunately we (I) failed to get much footage from the Club Tavern show.
This past week was a little bit more than hectic for the band. As a matter of fact it was downright scary. Last Sunday Afternoon (3/22) Charles was enjoying the a bike ride on a glorious spring afternoon when he was involved in a car/bike accident (car drivers fault) that sent him to the hospital. Diagnoses: Broken Humerus bone near the area it attaches to the shoulder as well as a wicked case of road rash. Charles was very fortunate. Things could have been worse. The Rock-N-Roll gods were definitely looking down on him. He is expected to make a full recovery in time. Charles thanks everyone for all the thoughts and well wishes!
I got some fantastic news on Tuesday Night!!!! Someone told me that they read this blog! WOO! We're up to 10 readers now! I think we may just have to throw a party when we reach the ultimate goal of 20. We can do it!
So after a little downtime since our last gig (on NYE) we were back this past Friday (1/27) at Madison's longest running music venue... The Badger Bowl. The Badger Bowl has changed their start/end times for bands. The new start time is now 9:15. No complaints from us on getting done earlier in the night. Kind of nice! We thought we'd change things up as well. Instead of our standard 3 sets/2 short breaks that we normally do, we decided to do 2 long sets with 1 break. We've done the 2 sets route before and really liked it. However, in the past the sets were usually an hour and a half. This time we were doing two 1 hour 45 minute sets. Unfortunately my mathematics skills aren't very good since the first set ended up being 2 hours.
Thanks to all that came out to The Club Tavern on December 2nd. It was a week ago as I write this so I don't remember much since it seems like weeks ago for my feeble mind. What an AWESOME weekend for Wisconsin Sports. Brewers go up 2 games to 0 in the National League Playoffs. The Packers destroyed Denver. The Badgers totally throttled Nebraska!
